Monowai submarine volcano viewed from the west looking east. The caldera is featured, where four submersible dives took place on Leg I of the NZASRoF'05 expedition. The dive area is indicated by the white circle on the image. Depths range from 138 to 1650 meters (452 - 5412 feet). The resolution of the bathymetry data is 25 meters. The image is two times vertically exaggerated. Monowai caldera is ~8 kilometers across from rim to rim.
